Reiki 1 (Shoden)
This course introduces and connects you the energy of Reiki. You will learn some of the history of Reiki and how it came to be introduced to us here in the West. You will receive Empowerments or connections to the Reiki source. You will have hands-on experience channelling the energy and will learn how to feel other people's energy fields. You will also learn some basic treatment techniques so that you can use these techniques on family and friends. Importantly, you will also learn self-treatment techniques and meditations - these will allow you to strengthen your connection to Reiki energy and help you to work towards self healing. By the end of the day you will have given a full Reiki treatment and also have received a full Reiki treatment - so you get to relax on the course too!
The study pack and course materials are sent out in advance and will take you approximately 9 hours 
to work through and you will also receive notes to guide you during the pre-course work. This gives you the time to read about the history of Reiki, the background and the development of Reiki, the benefits of Reiki and how you can use it on yourself and others, at your leisure, in the comfort of your own home prior to the course. In this way, you will have as much time as you need to fully absorb the theory about Reiki so you will be ready for the live course and you will not need to spend the day of the course itself frantically trying to scribble down notes instead of actually getting to grips with the energy and the practice of Reiki. This method really does take the pressure off you for the day course - unlike most other Reiki courses, which is the way I (and most others) had to learn it at this level.
There are no prerequisites at all for Reiki 1, so this course is suitable for everyone and every background. It requires no knowledge or experience of Reiki. By the end of the morning of the live course you will be connected to Reiki and you will have Reiki energy flowing through your hands. You will immediately be able to use that energy for your own benefit and for the benefit of family, friends and pets. You will receive your Certificate at the end of the day and you will also receive an invitation to join the Reiki Evolution Internet Discussion Group forum hosted by Taggart King. All my students have access to ongoing support from me, via email or phone, and you will receive invitations to join my free monthly Reiki Shares which I hold here, at Leaf House.
Investment for Reiki 1: £140 (£60 deposit, with the balance payable on the day). To book your place on one of the course dates below, contact me and tell me the date you would like to book on. To secure your place, send me a cheque for the deposit and when I have received your deposit, I will send your pre-course work pack to you - so please remember to include your postal details when you send your deposit! Arrive at 9.30am and finish no later than 5.30pm with about 45 minutes for lunch.
